Dr. Das completed his MSc from Tezpur Central University in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology followed by 3.5 yeras research experience in the department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at IIT Guwahati. Dr Das has a PhD degree in Industrial Biotechnology from University of Quebec, Canada. Dr. Das has expertise in the fields of Nanobiotechnology and Industrail Biotechnology. He worked (from 2017-2020) as an Associate Fellow at TERI-Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre, India and also as an Honorary Fellow of IFM, Deakin University, Australia. His research team at TDNBC worked on the development of silk protein based nanoformulations for diverse applications. Dr. Das has supervised 2 PhD theses as principal superviser and has about 70 peer-reviewed international research publications (30 as first author). He has 1 US paten granted and series of conferences to his credit. He is one of the 3 the c0-founder editors of the international journal ‘Nanotechnology for Environmental Engineering’ published by the prestigious SpringerNature. He has significantly contributed as the core member of the scientific team in preparing the national guidelines for evaluation of nano-based agri-input and food products published by the DBT, Govt of India.
