  • Quality by Design (QbD) and regulatory-compliant system design

Week 3: Scale-Up Engineering and Pilot Design

  • Mass transfer, mixing, and scale-up constraints

  • CFD modeling and engineering strategies for pilot-scale runs

  • Fermentation kinetics, yield optimization, and productivity modeling

  • Case studies from industrial biotech and pharmaceutical scale-up

Week 4: Smart Bioprocesses and Sustainable Bio-Industry

  • AI/ML for predictive optimization and fault detection

  • Circular bioeconomy: waste valorization and resource recovery

  • Industrial applications: biopharmaceuticals, biofuels, enzymes
