Foundations of Robust Research Design and Methodology
Design Stronger Research. Build Clearer Methodologies. Create Review-Ready Studies.
About This Course
Foundations of Robust Research Design and Methodology is a 3-day online hands-on workshop designed to help participants build strong, structured, and defensible research designs for proposals, theses, dissertations, publications, and professional research projects.
The workshop focuses on research gap identification, question formulation, methodology selection, data collection planning, and peer-review readiness. Participants will gain practical exposure to tools such as Google Scholar, Zotero, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, JASP, and Jamovi for research planning, documentation, instrument design, and basic analysis workflows.
Aim
The aim of this workshop is to equip participants with practical skills to design research studies that are clear, feasible, methodologically sound, and ready for proposal, thesis, or journal-level review. The workshop emphasizes research question development, methodological alignment, research documentation, feasibility planning, and critical evaluation of research design.
Workshop Objectives
- Develop clear research questions and hypotheses.
- Identify research gaps through structured literature review.
- Choose suitable quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method designs.
- Plan sampling, instruments, and data collection methods.
- Understand validity, reliability, causality, and confounding variables.
- Prepare a research timeline, data management plan, and review-ready methodology.
