AI-enabled pest management

From Immune Pathways to AI-Powered Pest Management

  • Mode: Virtual / Online
  • Type: Mentor Based
  • Level: Moderate
  • Duration: 3 Days
  • Starts: 2 February 2026
  • Time: 05: 30PM IST

About This Course

A 3-day, globally relevant workshop on insect immunity and AI-enabled pest management—covering immune pathways, immune priming, RNAi/biopesticide relevance, and predictive modeling. Participants will complete guided, hands-on exercises (40%) using datasets and open tools to build practical insights for research and real-world pest control.

Aim

To equip participants with a strong understanding of insect immune systems and the practical application of artificial intelligence in analyzing immune responses, predicting pest resistance, and developing sustainable, next-generation pest control strategies through a balanced blend of theory and hands-on learning.

Workshop Objectives

  • To introduce the fundamentals of insect immunology, including humoral and cellular immune pathways and immune priming.

  • To explain the role of artificial intelligence in analyzing insect immune parameters and gene expression data.

  • To demonstrate how AI-driven approaches can predict insect resistance to pathogens, pesticides, and biocontrol agents.

  • To provide hands-on experience with open-source tools for immune response modeling and data-driven pest management.

  • To highlight global case studies linking insect immunity, AI, and sustainable pest control practices.
