The “Urban Resilience: Nature-Based Solutions and Data-Driven Hydrology” workshop explores innovative approaches to enhancing urban resilience through sustainable, nature-based strategies and advanced hydrological modeling. This workshop delves into the application of green infrastructure, ecosystem-based strategies, and cutting-edge data analytics to address urban flooding, water management, and climate adaptation. Participants will learn how to combine natural processes with data-driven insights to create more resilient and sustainable cities in the face of increasing urbanization and climate change.

Aim: To empower participants with the knowledge and skills to integrate nature-based solutions and data-driven hydrology into urban planning and development, ensuring greater resilience against climate-related challenges.

  • Introduction to Python/R for hydrological data analysis
  • Machine learning applications in streamflow prediction and rainfall-runoff forecasting
  • Sensor networks for real-time watershed and drainage-system monitoring
