Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) Networks and Biomarker Identification
Unlock the secrets of proteins and biomarkers through cutting-edge bioinformatics tools.
Skills you will gain:
About Workshop:
Over the course of three days, participants will engage in practical sessions focused on identifying hub proteins in PPI networks, understanding gene ontology, and performing pathway enrichment analysis. The workshop also includes a deep dive into transcription factor (TF) identification and how these factors influence disease-related biomarkers. This session will equip participants with the knowledge needed to navigate the complex landscape of biomarker discovery and systems biology.
Aim: The workshop on “Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) Networks and Biomarker Identification” aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of PPI networks and their role in biomarker discovery. Participants will learn to use cutting-edge tools like Cytoscape and STRING database to analyze PPI networks, identify key biomarkers, and explore gene ontology and pathway analysis techniques. The workshop focuses on practical, hands-on training to enhance participants’ ability to analyze biological networks and identify critical biomarkers for healthcare applications.
