Dr. Galiveeti Poornima is a distinguished academician and researcher specializing in Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Presidency University, Bengaluru, she has devoted her research to pioneering advancements in Signed Language Recognition, particularly for Indian Sign Languages. Prof. Tinku Basu is the Founder Director of Amity Centre for Nanomedicine at Amity University, Noida, with a PhD from IIT Kharagpur in 1993. Since 2003, she has been a driving force in nanomedicine, specializing in sensor development. Prof. Basu’s impactful contributions include mobile app-based sensors for pesticides, COVID antibodies, and diabetes management. Her research spans electrochemical diagnostic biosensors, precise synthesis of materials like reduced graphene oxide, metal organic frameworks (MOF), and anisotropic metal nanoparticles. Noteworthy inventions include hand-held biosensors for Aflatoxin B1, triglyceride biosensors with extended shelf life, and reusable cholesterol and glucose sensors. With over 50 international publications in peer-reviewed journals and 7 granted patents out of 22 filed, Prof. Basu is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Recognitions include the Global Centre for Excellence Education awards by the Japan Govt in 2011 and 2014, and the Best Paper of the Year from King Abulaziz City for Science and Technology in 2013. Dr. Darshan Panda is a Scientist in the Department of Crop Physiology & Biochemistry at the ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Bidyadharpur, Cuttack. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Biotechnology from Ravenshaw University in 2022. He is working currently as a Scientist at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack. He has published his research findings through the publication of over 50 articles in esteemed academic international journals. He has 10 years of experience in the fields of plant physiology, molecular biology and biotechnology. He has contributed significantly in various fields of Materials Science and Engineering. His contribution towards the development of Advanced Materials through the thermal plasma route from ores and minerals and solid wastes generated from mineral-based industries is particularly praiseworthy. He has developed and designed various plasma reactors indigevously for the above purposes. He completed several projects in Plasma Processing as PI and team members funded by different sponsor agencies such as DST, NALCO, IRELTD, DMSRDE. CSIR, BRNS, NMDC, MoM, MoS, Vedanta Ltd., etc.
