Dr. Atul Vashist is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, School of Engineering and Allied Sciences (SEAS), Bennett University (Times of India Group), Greater Noida, India. He is the former Principal Scientist in the Department of Infection and Immunology, Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad, Haryana, India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Biotechnology from National JALMA Institute for Leprosy and Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra and earned his postdoctoral from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Cornell University, Ithaca, USA. With 3+ years of research experience in aquatic biology, toxicology, and nanotechnology, his work focuses on emerging pollutants, aquatic pollution, nano-toxicity, and fisheries-related research, including fish physiology and behavior.
