3. What is the difference between the online and offline internship modes?

Online Mode:

  • Attend live or recorded sessions from anywhere.
  • Access to learning management systems (LMS), e-resources, assignments, and virtual project guidance.
  • Flexible schedule, with weekend or evening options available.

Offline Mode:

  • Conducted at our dedicated bioinformatics lab/center.
  • Includes hands-on training, lab access, and in-person mentorship.
  • Opportunity to interact with peers.

Yes. Every participant will work on a mini-project or a guided capstone project, which includes report writing, analysis, and presentation. These projects are designed to simulate real-world bioinformatics applications and research methodologies.

6. Do I need prior programming knowledge?

No prior coding skills are required. However, familiarity with basic biology or computer science concepts is helpful. Beginners are supported through foundational sessions in tools and scripting languages used in bioinformatics.

Yes. All participants receive an industry-recognized Internship Certificate upon successful completion. Top-performing interns may also receive Letter of Recommendation (LoR) or Research Internship Appreciation Certificates.

Participants are assessed through:

10. What are the fees and how can I enroll?

  • Fees vary depending on the module (online/offline) and duration (4, 6, or 8 weeks).

11. Are there any placement or further training opportunities?

Absolutely. The program structure supports academic credit fulfillment and thesis projects. Customized project work and evaluation documents can be provided for submission to your university or department.

15. What languages are used for instruction and materials?

The primary language of instruction is English. Supplementary materials may be provided in regional languages upon request, particularly for offline cohorts.

16. Do you provide hostel or accommodation for offline interns?

No, we don’t offer accommodation

17. What are the technical requirements for online participation?

Participants need:

  • A stable internet connection (min. 2 Mbps)
  • A desktop/laptop with at least 4GB RAM
  • Updated browsers (Chrome/Firefox)
  • Optional: Python/R preinstalled for coding modules

18. Will I get LMS access after the internship ends?

Yes. You’ll retain LMS access for 3 months post-internship, allowing you to revisit recorded lectures, materials, and tools for self-paced revision and practice.

19. Can I publish the project or paper developed during the internship?

Yes, with proper guidance from mentors. Projects of publishable quality may be refined and co-published in conference proceedings, online journals, or scientific blogs under mutual agreement.

20. Is this internship recognized or certified by any university or organization?

The program is certified by NSTC, and industry-recognized by partner institutes and startup ecosystems. We're also exploring MoUs with universities and biotech companies to offer institutional recognition.

21. Can I pay in installments or get financial aid?

22. Is weekend-only participation possible?

All online sessions are recorded and shared, and you can also join the next cohort’s session if needed. For offline participants, lab support and repeat sessions can be arranged on request.
