    About

“International Humanitarian Law” is a globally-focused workshop that introduces participants to the legal norms and ethical frameworks that govern armed conflict and military operations. Based on core instruments like the Geneva Conventions, Additional Protocols, and customary international law, this workshop explores key themes such as the protection of non-combatants, permissible means and methods of warfare, and accountability for war crimes.

    Aim

To provide participants with a solid foundation in International Humanitarian Law (IHL)—its principles, applications, and enforcement—while fostering critical insight into how IHL protects civilians, regulates the conduct of hostilities, and interacts with human rights law and emerging technologies in warfare.
